Picked for Scotland: 39 head for Scotstoun as full Games team named

Two of Team Scotland’s athletics medallists from Birmingham 2022 are relishing the prospect of competing at Scotstoun.

Nicole Yeargin is running into top form ahead of the Women’s 400m – with a recent 50.98 performance – and the Mixed 4x400m Relay.

Wheelchair racer Sean Frame won silver in the marathon in Birmingham but has come down in distance with 1500m in the Para programme (and no road races) for Glasgow 2026.

‘It has been tough and I am more used to longer distances on the roads,’ said Sean.

‘But I have put in a lot of hard work to compete on the track and I am really looking forward to having family and friends support me in Glasgow.’

Nicole’s extended family is spread across either side of the Atlantic with her Dunfermline-raised mum now in the United States and her grandmother in Edinburgh.

‘I will have family in the stadium in Glasgow and then others supporting me via ‘watch parties’ in Texas.’
