Nick Percy has once again rewritten the Scottish track and field record books.
And his latest new Scottish Record in Men’s discus is also beyond the Olympic qualifying mark for GB and NI in Paris this summer.
Nick threw a stunning 67.73m at an event in Oklahoma in the United States and that will be a superb new Scottish Record subject to ratification.
That’s well over his own (existing) Scottish Record at 65.00m and beyond the 67.20m being asked for Olympic selection by British Athletics. The Oklahoma throws also takes Nick to second on the UK all-time list.
Well done to Nick, his coach Zane Duquemin and all this family and support team in the United States currently.
Nick was in the Scotland team at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and we are thrilled his dedication, commitment and patience continues to pay off.
WHAT A THROW! #SALtogether
