Eight athletes will represent Scotland on the roads this weekend.

We are delighted to wish good luck to those picked to compete at the SportShoes Home Nations 5k in Wales.

The event takes place in Cardiff on Saturday.

Since our selection was announced a few weeks ago, there have been a couple of team changes. Congratulations to Max Abernethy of Aberdeen AAC and Emily Carroll of Shettleston on being called up.

Scotland Women:

Morag Millar (Central AC); Stefanie Tucker (Cambuslang Harriers); Kirsty Walker (Edinburgh AC); Emily Carroll (Shettleston Harriers)

Scotland Men:

Hamish Hickey (Central AC); Jamie MacKinnon (Cambuslang Harriers);  Finlay Ross Davie (Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds/Garscube Harriers); Max Abernethy (Aberdeen AAC)

As per our selection document for Road Running and Cross Country international opportunities, the team was selected based on current form over 5k races of a similar distance (on road or track).

Team Size: Up to four men and up to four women (with one U23 athlete for development – where appropriate).

John Mackay of Shettleston Harriers will be the team manager for Cardiff.
