Cross Country and Road Running International Handbook

Scottish athletes will head to Merseyside soon for the British Cross Challenge and Euro Cross Trial races.

And 23 of those set to compete on Saturday 23 November will do so after being selected to represent Scotland.

There isn’t an international team race at this event as such but we nonetheless regard Liverpool as a selection opportunity (via the Road Running and Cross Country Commission and our International Handbook).

We are delighted to selected almost two dozen athletes to represent scottishathletics with Joma kit and financial support for the trip south.

Congratulations to those picked and to their families and coaches. We also at this juncture want to acknowledge the role clubs have played (over many years in some cases) in the development of these Scottish athletes.

Medallists at the Lindsays Short Course XC at Kirkcaldy feature prominently in the selections with men’s race gold and silver medallists, Ben Potrykus and Jamie Crowe, both picked.

From the Women’s race at Kirkcaldy, silver medallist Lynn McKenna and bronze medallist, Morag Millar will also race in Liverpool.
