Scotland team selected for Home Nations 5k race in Wales

Eight athletes have been selected to represent Scotland on the roads next month.

We are delighted to name those picked to compete at the SportShoes Home Nations 5k in Wales.

The event takes place in Cardiff on Saturday 30 August.

Congratulations to our eight selected athletes and their families, coaches and clubs on being chosen to represent Scotland.

Scotland Women:

Lynn McKenna (Shettleston Harriers); Morag Millar (Central AC); Stefanie Tucker (Cambuslang Harriers); Kirsty Walker (Edinburgh AC)

Scotland Men:

Peter Bradshaw (Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds/Inverclyde AC); Hamish Hickey (Central AC); Jamie MacKinnon (Cambuslang Harriers); Finlay Ross Davie (Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds/Garscube Harriers)

As per our selection document for Road Running and Cross Country international opportunities, the team was selected based on current form over 5k races of a similar distance (on road or track).

Team Size: Up to four men and up to four women (with one U23 athlete for development – where appropriate).

John Mackay of Shettleston Harriers will be the team manager for Cardiff.
