Roon the Toon support our National Club Conference

Thursday 24th October 2024

Delegates will head for Glasgow this Saturday for our National Club Conference.

And we are delighted to confirm the event is taking place with the support of Roon the Toon.

Roon the Toon, a superb community 10k event organised each summer by Kilmarnock Harriers, were keen to get closer to clubs and are now supporters of the National Club Conference and the Young People‘s Forum conference.

scottishathletics says a big thank you to Ian Gebbie and all the team behind Roon the Toon – the support is very much appreciated.

The theme on Saturday is ‘Back to Basics’ and Eilidh Doyle will be our keynote speaker. Liz McColgan will make it a double in terms of Olympians by taking part in a Q and A towards the close of the gathering.

We’re delighted to have had more than 80 delegates sign up to attend and sharing good practice and networking at our ’round table’ sessions is also key to the success of the National Club Conference.

We are privileged once again to have clubs at the forefront of the ‘Back to Basics’ content.

We will be joined by Perth Road Runners, North Ayrshire AC, Giffnock North AC, and Orkney ARC, who will be hosting workshops that will share their club development work, their good practice, and showcase some of their innovative approaches to their club operations and programmes.
