GB international Grant Plenderleith is one of the Guest Speakers for our Officials Conference this weekend.
The Carnegie Centre in Dunfermline is the venue for a full programme through Sunday with around 100 Officials set to gather – although there are still some spaces available from Shona Malcolm (call 07731 832 567).
scottishathletics chief executive Mark Munro will also address the conference and one of the early presentations is ‘ The Power of Collaboration’ by consultant, Victoria Clark, of Active Advantage.
Falkirk Victoria Harriers athlete Grant, who raced for GB and NI at the World Indoors in Birmingham earlier this year, is the Keynote Speaker shortly after lunch on Sunday as he addresses the theme ‘How inter-actions with Officials can affect athlete performance at Scottish/International competitions.’
There are a number of workshops over the day, too, with the leads for those including Alasdhair Love, Events Manager with scottishathletics as well as David Cairns on Endurance Event Planning and one by Brenda Stephen and Joyce Wighton .
The Officials Conference will be led throughout by Margaret Brown, chair of our Officials Commission.
