Scottish athletes were in action in Europe over the weekend – and there were some strong performances.
Taking the headline would be our Mixed 4x400m U20 team in Mannheim as they set a new Scottish Best in this event.
There was also a fine PB run in the 400m hurdles from Ben Heron at 52.42 to take first place in his race!
The Mixed Relay team featured Ben, Dylan McCulloch, Rebecca Grieve and Holly Ovens. They clocked 3:25.33 to improve the Scottish Best mark in this event by six seconds!
In a tight race, they were fourth behind teams from Germany, Norway and Ireland. The splits were: Dylan 48.6; Rebecca 54.0; Ben 46.8; Holly 55.9.
The 4x400m Mixed Relay is now included at the World Juniors so important that Scottish athletes start to work together to progress our performances in the event.
