The Scottish Mid-Trail Champs are back on the calendar once again this September.

We are pleased to confirm that Fife AC have agreed to host the championship event within their Festival of Trail Running at Falkland on Sunday 4 September.

It means medal opportunities for individuals across Masters (V40 and in ten-year bands), Senior, U20, U17 and U15 age groups.

In addition, there are development races at U13 and U11 level which are viewed as a great way for young athletes at our clubs to be introduced to trail running or indeed prepare for their first steps at cross country.

Entries are now open online and we would love to see clubs and athletes support Fife AC in staging the event. Masters, Seniors and U20 athletes run together with medals in the categories.

It is now three years since the event was held – on a day in September 2019 when the record entry field featured around 350 names.

Inverclyde AC’s Jonny Glen and Central AC athlete Fanni Gyurko took the Senior golds that year.  Hunters Bog Trotters won the men’s team race with Edinburgh AC taking the women’s golds.
