Scottish athletes have landed relay medals at the World Juniors in South America.
It really was quite a night for the GB and NI squads in action in relay finals at the World U20 Champs in Lima in Peru.
Dean Patterson was involved in the Men’s 4x100m team as they won superb silver medals.
The GB quartet clocked 39.20 – the fastest for 13 years by a British team at this level – as Jake Odey Jordan and Joel Masters took the baton beffore Dean was on the third leg to hand over to Teddy Wilson on the anchor.
And Rebecca Grieve helped the Women’s 4x400m team as they made the podium, too, with bronze medal success at 3:32.80.
Charlott Henrich, Emma Holmes, Kara da Costa and Rebbecca (53.1) made up the team.
Well done to both athletes on great performances and congrats to families, coaches and clubs, too. Dean is coached by David Watson and Rebecca by Francis Smith.
