Marathon Webinar with Robert Hawkins; Metro medal rush at ACP

We’re delighted to share today our recent Marathon Webinar with top coach Robert Hawkins.

The session online last week had more than 90 sign-ups as we looked to increase knowledge about taking on the legendary distance.

Robert heads up our Marathon Project and was on hand to give a series of pointers for those perhaps making plans to take on the marathon or seeking to improve their PB.

With apologies this is very much belated, but well worth noting nonetheless!

Metro Aberdeen are ‘smashing it’ when it comes to ultra running at a high level.

At the Anglo Celtic Plate event in Leicester, the Metro ‘team effort’ looked something like this: four members competing and every one came away with a medal of some sort!

*Neill Kelly – First M60 in British Masters 50km Championships and Scottish M60 record

*Jo Wilson – Team Silver in ACP 100km Championships

*Dave Andrews – Third M40 in Scottish 100km Championships

*Chloe Sangster – Second in Scottish 100km Championships
