RPMF grants helped put Laura on right road – apply by November 30

Monday 28th November 2022

Laura Muir has landed countless awards and accolades to her name in a superb career so far.

And now the six-times European champion and Olympic, World and Commonwealth medallist has a lasting tribute in her home village of Milnathort.

Laura has had a street named after her ‘Muir Way‘ to recognise her achievements in her local community.

The 2022 European and Commonwealth champion also made a trip back to her primary school recently to help inspire pupils.

And young Scottish athletes, meanwhile, can follow the road taken by Laura by applying for grants from the Ron Pickering Memorial Fund – one of the earliest supporters of her own career.

Young Athletes between the ages of 15 and 23 are urged not to miss the deadline for applications for support.

The application window lasts until the end of November, with the selection process taking place in December when the Grants Committee will meet to review and discuss every athlete who has submitted the online form.
