The scottishathletics National Coaching Conference is looming at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow in just over a fortnight on September 26/27 and there’s a great lineup being assembled for the occasion.
We’ve already outlined a number of speakers and breakout sessions and places for those sessions are already filling up quickly.
Now, fresh from involvement in the 2015 World Championships in Beijing are:
*Neil Black – Performance Director with British Athletics, and head of a Team GB who gathered seven medals in China
*Jonas Tawiah-Dodoo – Coach to World Long Jump Champion Greg Rutherford
*Geoff Wightman – Coach and commentator at the World Championships, who will deliver on endurance running at the Conference
*Mick Woods – Coach to World Championship finalist Steph Twell, who will deliver on endurance running at the Conference
It is going to be a busy weekend at the Emirates on September 26/27 with clubs also urged to make plans to send a representative to the scottishathletics Annual General Meeting.
If you are a club coach, development coach, performance coach, or a coach working with disability athletes, then this conference has something to offer you. For all the information on the conference, please see the conference brochure.
To simply book your place on to the Coaching Conference, please complete and return the booking form along with your breakout choices to darren.ritchie@scottishathletics.org.uk. (Note that breakout session 7 with Jared Deacon is already fully subscribed)
Places for the weekend cost £25 for scottishathletics coach (SC) members and £50 for non-members. For group bookings, the cost of the conference is £20 per person for 10 or more places (SC members only).
If you have already submitted your booking form, but not your preferred breakout session choices, can you please do so by return? Thank you.
Closing date for bookings – 21 September 2015
scottishathletics will accept bookings for the conference up to midnight on 21 September 2015. Please note, some of the workshops have limited availability and are filling up fast.
Therefore, if you wish to attend and avoid disappointment, we recommend you submit your booking form along with your breakout choices as soon as possible.
