Glasgow Jaguars head to Woodford for the second match of the National Athletics League hoping to consolidate their excellent fourth place in Match One and ensure their continued participation in a league which provides high level competition in all events.
The team is delighted to have Alyson Bell, selected for the individual 200M and 4×100 relay in Glasgow, going in both events on Saturday and Bradley Francis, selected for the mixed 4×400 relay in Glasgow back in the 400MH and 4×400 relay for this match.
Luc Macleod, 400M winner at the U20 trials for the World U20 Championships is looking to post the 46.50 required for selection for the individual 400M and Holly Whittaker, winner of the 100MH with a windy 13.41, needs a legal 13.45 to guarantee her selection.
Another U20 gold medal winner was Charis Crawford, with a PB equalling performance of 3.75 and Charis will be looking forward to a high-level competition.
The team is bolstered by several athletes, invited to the UK Championships in Birmingham, recognition of their growing status as Senior athletes.
Mhairi Patience finished in an excellent fourth in the 400MH (58.70) her best for several years, and Silver Nwabuzor recorded a PB of 12.93, also in fourth place.
There was a top eight finish for Euan Urquhart (Shot 15.91) in his first UK championships and Scott Connal was again invited for the 110MH.
Struan Linton (10.67) Stewart Greenhalgh (10.72) were in fine form in the heats of the 100M while Sarah Malone had a fine run of 11.78w.

Dean Patterson was in action in both Birmingham and at the English Championships last weekend, finishing in fourth place in the 200M with a windy 21.39.
After a fifth place finish in Birmingham (52.75) discus thrower Andrew Peck finished sixth at Bedford with 51.32.
Kathryn Christie is rounding into excellent form with a strong 200M performance (24.05) to finish second at Bedford after season’s bests in the 100M at Birmingham and will be looking to PB in the 400M in a strong field in Woodford.
Newly qualified doctor Briagha Cook, who will feature in the Long Jump at Woodford was in fine form in the hurdles with a windy 14.06 and Emma McLennan who goes in the 1500M finished in fourth place in the 3K S/Chase (11.12.26).
Decathletes Alister McKay sixth placer at Bedford with a PB of 7134 with and Zak Fearn pull on the pink and black for the first time.
Both go in the pole vault and Zak in his number one event javelin. Other newcomers to the team are U20 Andrew Leighton (2k S/Chase), Andrew Peters (400M), Dima Graham (1500), Lewis Miller (Triple Jump), Johann Gillon (Hammer), Amy Kirkpatrick (800M) and Arianna Carmichael 3000M.
The team is travelling with a full team of officials, including Commonwealth Games selected Official: Carol Rose, Mark Stringer, Susan Miller, Peter Ramsey and Donna Wallace.
