Grand finale secures fine third place for Glasgow Jaguars
Glasgow Jaguars head to Eton for the first fixture of the new season in the National Athletics League Premier Division.
The opposition will be tough as the Scots face hosts Windsor Slough Eton and Hounslow, Thames Valley, Harrow, Woodford Green and Essex Ladies, Birchfield and newly-promoted Shaftesbury and Sheffield and Dearne.
Every match was extremely tight last season and every point will once again be crucial as the Jaguars aim to match the magnificent third place of 2024.
It has been a very strong start to the season for several Glasgow Jaguars, who are heading for Eton, fresh from representing Scotland and in PB form.
Scotland international Struan Linton, who heads up a strong sprint squad, posted a 200m PB in Brussels last weekend and is joined by fellow Loughborough international Ethan Pottie. Owen Murphy, also in superb PB form in the 100m and 200m, makes his debut.

The women’s jumps look strong with Hannah Wallace LJ, in her first Scottland vest in Loughborough delivering a PB and following this up in the Jumps Pathway International with another PB. Newcomer to the team, Silver Nwabuzor (TJ) who also gained her first Scotland vest in Loughborough is also in PB form.
Matthew Tait goes in the men’s High Jump and Scotland junior international, Luc McLeod, makes his debut for the team in the Long Jump and is part of a strong 400m squad.
Team stalwart Andrew Peck, competed in the Jumps Pathway international at Chelmsford, adding almost four metres to his discus PB and he is relishing the strong opposition he will face at Eton.
Scotland international Dawn Russell goes in the Javelin while Logan Mitchell (Hammer), Amy Kennedy (Shot) and newcomer Ava Mitchell (Shot) have a busy weekend as they are competing in Eton and then travelling to Loughborough, having been selected for Scotland in the Shaun Pickering Memorial.
The team is very grateful to the athletes, Marika Kennedy and scottishathletics for their support in co-ordinating this.

U20s Hector Faulkner makes his debut over Senior 400mH, Jacob McKinlay, top ranked Scottish U20 discus thrower steps into the Hammer event and Daniel Martin (Pole Vault) returns to the event after a long spell out with injury.
The team are travelling with seven highly graded and experienced Officials with one Official using the opportunity to have a Level 4 out of area report done and the team are supported by team managers, coaches, Social Media contributors and drivers making the long trip by car to carry poles and throwing equipment and to facilitate athletes being able to compete in both Eton and Loughborough.
Huge thanks to sponsors Glasgow Life and Joma and the ongoing support of scottishathletics.
