Holly Whittaker competed for Scottish Schools at the Indoor Pentathlon at the Emirates Arena on Saturday.
And what a start for the indoor season in Scotland as the teenager broke the U17 Scottish Record for 60m hurdles with a run of 8.44 seconds.
Holly’s time improved the 8.61 mark that was set (by Catherine Murphy) some 34 years ago.
Many Congratulations to Holly and her coaches, Frank Gauld and Margery Swinton.
The Aberdeen AAC athlete only joined our ATS National Athletics Academy recently when we announced the year one intake of nine youngsters. Holly joined the gathering at Stirling only the week before the Pentathlon International.
Thanks to Andrew Whittaker for the wee video of the race in Glasgow.
