Hectic weekend – especially for the Lawlers

Friday 30th May 2014

It is a big weekend for many Scottish athletes at various locations – with our Select team in action in the University International match at Grangemouth.

The Saturday action starts at 12 noon and there is FREE entry to watch a Scottish Unis team face their Irish counterparts as well as the Scotland Select team.

A number of teenagers will be involved following the selection by scottishathletics and it is a great chance for them to enjoy a competition opportunity at the appropriate level.

And it will be a special weekend for the Lawler family from Wishaw, with 18-year-old twins Andrew and Hannah both members of Edinburgh AC.

Pole vaulter Hannah is among the picks for the Scotland Select to compete in the Uni match at Grangemouth.

Then, less than 24 hours later, Andrew is involved as Scotland teams race in the Lake District at the Karrimor Trail Challenge event.

We would like to wish all athletes and coaches involved in these events all the best for a busy weekend.
