scottishathletics can today confirm that our 4J Scottish Championship Finals Weekend will take place at Grangemouth Stadium next month.
It will be an exciting and busy weekend as athletes of all ages compete for national indoor titles across a number of events over February 16-18.
There will be sessions on the Friday evening (February 16) and over the Saturday and Sunday.
Unfortunately, following extensive discussions with Glasgow Life and the team behind the World Indoors, we have had confirmation that the Emirates Arena will not be available for us to stage events that weekend.
Grangemouth, of course, is a key track and field venue and ideally placed in central Scotland for so many of our club. Key indoor events only add further to the strategic significance.
Following the first of our qualifying heats in Ayr last weekend, action continues in Pitreavie and Aberdeen over the next fortnight as athletes continue to record performances and qualify for pre-entry into the finals.
A small number of additional places in the finals will open to all scottishathletics members at 10am on Wednesday 7 February.

A provisional timetable and more information about the Grangemouth event will be added our online fixture page over the coming days.
The programme will include 60m, 60m hurdles, all jumps and shot put for athletes in the U13 – Masters age groups. There are 60m, Long Jump and Shot Put opportunities to classified ambulant para-athletes.
Full details are available from the event fixture page:
While we are of course disappointed not to be able to stage our final in the Emirates Arena this year, we wish the World Indoors team good luck and look forward to the 4J Scottish Indoor Season returning to Glasgow in early 2025.
