Scottish duo Kimberley Reed and Kelsey Stewart have been named by British Athletics in the GB and NI Juniors team for the Loughborough International.
It is a huge accolade for the Edinburgh Ac hammer thrower and Aberdeen AAC sprinter as they join a series of prodigious talents like Dina Asher-Smith in the selection.
Reed, coached by her father Scott, has had a superb start to the 2014 season throwing Commonwealth Games standards and picking up a silver medal at BUCS.
Stonehaven’s Stewart is still at school and, coached by Ken and Joyce Hogg, is named in the 4 x 400m relay squad.
scottishathletics congratulates both athletes, their coaches and families, and indeed all involved in their development over the years.
