There are only three days left to enter our 4J Senior and U17 Champs over the weekend of August 13/14.

It should be a great occasion as Aberdeen Sports Village hosts the 129th Senior Scottish Champs, the Scottish U17 Champs and also the U20 5000m Champs.

We’ve hundreds of names come in so far via the online entry system but there’s still time for a few more and we’d love to see the strongest possible fields at Aberdeen.

Entries close at midnight on Thursday (July 28).

In a Commonwealth Games year, there are a couple of special elements which we believe will make competing at Aberdeen a not-to-be-missed moment . . .

*To encourage fast times, and with the help and support of our dedicated team of Officials, we can confirm if required by the prevailing wind we hope to be able to run all 100m, 100mH and 110mH races ‘with the wind’ at Aberdeen Sports Village.

(Note: This will be subject to some robust on the day testing to ensure all systems are working correctly)

*The Scottish Seniors now has World Rankings points status (Under Band E in the World Rankings guidelines). This means participating athletes can be internationally recognised, scoring World Ranking points in their events.

*We have an increased prize-pot fund of £5000 with athletes competing for shares via gold, silver and bronze categories.

Prize pot standards have been finalised and can be viewed via the Event section page (see downloads on the right of the page)

To help with forward planning, a provisional version of the Timetable is published on the Event Section page.

We will start at 11am on the Saturday in order to try and help athletes in terms of travel times.

More information:

*Entry Costs: Seniors £12 per event, U17 £10.50 per event

*U17 athletes may enter a maximum of THREE events.

*U15 athletes competing as U17s are only permitted to enter one of 300m OR 800m OR 1500m events.

*To ensure as many U17s as possible have the opportunity to enter their age group championships, entries for U15s wishing to compete as U17s will open on Monday 25 July.

*U15s can currently join the waiting list to receive a reminder ahead of these entries opening. A waiting list will remain in operation for any events that sell out.
