There will be junior races for U20 (born 2000/01/02), U17 (born 2003/04), U15 (born (2005/06), U13 (born 2007/08) and U11 (born after 2008, minimum age six years) which will be entry on the day only.

Junior hill winners at the Cornalees race back in May

The Broughton age group races mark the conclusion of the  scottishathletics Junior Hill League.

Results for six races are within the document here – covering those athletes who have competed at least twice so far. Three races are required to make the league’s overall standings.

And the Broughton races carry double points (like the Cornalees races which were Scottish champs).

SA junior hill 2019 (before Broughton)

All the races are open to all, with eligibility only required for the championships and trials. The courses are excellent for those relatively new to hill running.

*Event organisers need a few extra helpers to assist with marshalling and other tasks. Race is located at Broughton near Biggar in the Borders on Saturday 24 August.

Please get in touch (email mark_johnston@gmx.co.uk) if you can help out.
