DISTRICT XC RELAYS – Entries close on October 2

The winter season looms and the District XC Relays will mark the start of the scottishathletics cross country programme for 2017-18.

It all happens over the weekend of Saturday 14 October and Sunday 15 October with events taking place at three venues across the length and breadth of Scotland.

And we are asking clubs officials, coaches and team managers to make sure they put together entries over the next few days in order to meet the deadline to submit forms by Monday 2 October.

Glamis Castle near Forfar will be the scenic backdrop for the East District XC Relays and Edderton will play host to the North District XC Relays. Both of those events are on the Saturday.

And Hamilton Racecourse is the venue for the West District XC Relays and that one is taking place on the Sunday (October 15).

So we’re now looking for clubs to now engage in the hard work on organising names and entries across the age groups for October 14/15.

WEST entry forms – closes Monday 2 October (by post)

All entries are by post for these events so we are asking clubs to now gather up names for teams and get those off to the relevant address (see the Event page for each District XC Relay).

Once again we are indebted to support from legal firm Lindsays for the Cross Country Season and that takes in a number of National events in the months following on from the District XC Relays – starting with the National XC Relays at Cumbernauld on Saturday 28 October.
