The Scottish Cross Country Grand Prix is once again set for an exciting finish at the Lindsays National XC next month.
And Central AC are ‘homing in’ on a superb 1-2-3 in the Men’s Division as things stand ahead of Falkirk.
Jamie Crowe and Morag Millar look well clear in terms of overall title wins in the GP, which pays out £4000 to Senior athletes for cross country performances.
And Central’s overall grip on the scene is exemplified with five athletes featuring in the combined Men and Women top fives.
Jamie has 136 points after winning gold at the Inter District XC. Central’s Hamish Hickey, second at Alexandra Park, is second on 110 and club-mate Aidan Thompson is third (93).
Completing the Men’s top five are West champion Jamie Burns of Shettleston (73) and Cameron Smith of Cambuslang Harriers (73).
Morag has 136 points, too, at the top of the Women’s table. Brogan Wallace of Shettleston is second on 102 and Inter District champion Naomi Lang is third on 100 points (after two race wins so far).
Completing the Women’s top five are Grace Whelan of Central AC (85) and Nancy Scott of Edinburgh AC (83).
