Chris Jacquin adds to Scottish titles with Prize Pot success

Thursday 15th October 2026

Corstorphine AAC’s T71 Frame Runner Chris Jacquin added to his collection of Scottish titles in Aberdeen last month, while also securing a share of the £3,000 Prize Pot at the 4J Scottish Senior Champs.

Chris claimed Gold in both the T71 Frame Running 100m and 400m. He clocked 22.47 seconds in the 100m, scoring 742 RAZA points, before recording 99.31 seconds in the 400m for 1124 RAZA points. His performance over the longer distance also met the standard for a share of the championship Prize Pot.

The Prize Pot is shared between athletes who achieve the relevant performance standards, with Chris sharing the fund with Scottish discus thrower Nick Percy.

For his coach, Graeme Reid, the achievement was a deserved reward for an athlete whose commitment has grown alongside his success.

“He was excited about it, but that was an understatement, I’ll be honest,” said Graeme.

Chris has embraced Frame Running, committing himself to training and competition as he has developed his potential. He is a valued member of the Corstorphine AAC Frame Running group, where camaraderie, encouragement and genuine friendships help create a supportive team environment.

“He’s totally committed, one hundred percent committed, and he has realised that he is actually quite good at it,” Graeme explained.

The Prize Pot could also help fund the next stage of Chris’s development. He and Graeme are already considering options such as a new frame, racing wheels or a racing handlebar, while the possibility of international competition is also on the horizon.

Graeme believes Chris has the determination to pursue these opportunities, although his next steps are yet to be decided. His progress highlights the opportunities that can emerge when athletes are supported to develop, compete and challenge themselves.

Having added two more Golds to his collection and securing a share of the Prize Pot in 2026, Chris has already set his sights on defending his titles next year.

We can’t wait to see what Chris achieves next as he continues his Frame Running journey.
