Scotland will take a team of five athletes to the Cardiff Half Marathon at the end of March.
The event is lined up for Sunday 27 March and we’re pleased to once again be able to offer a competitive road running opportunity.
Following expressions of interest and a selection process, five athletes have been picked to represent Scotland in Wales.
Scotland Men:
Sean Chalmers – Inverness Harriers; James Donald – Dundee Hawkhill Harriers; Jonny Glen – Inverclyde AC; Derek Hawkins – Kilbarchan
Scotland Women:
Mhairi Maclennan – Inverness Harriers
Congratulations to these five athletes and their families and coaches on their selection for the Cardiff Half Marathon. We also applaud the clubs involved in their development over a number of years.
Mark Nixon, scottishathletics Endurance Manager, said: ‘We are really pleased to return to being able to offer Scotland vests for road running competition opportunities
‘The Cardiff Half Marathon is on a good course and will offer our athletes an excellent opportunity to run fast times against an elite field.’
