Details on how to apply

scottishathletics are looking for applicants for the next cohort for our Athletics Trust Scotland Young People’s Forum.

The ATS/YPF met together for the first time in December 2021 and, over the past two years, 17 inspirational young people from across the country have given their time to help shape athletics in Scotland.

Now we are looking to recruit the second cohort of young people (aged 14-23 inclusive) for the ATS YPF.

The aim of the Forum is to give young people a platform and voice in all aspects of the planning, development, and delivery of athletics in Scotland.

scottishathletics values and recognises the importance of providing opportunities for our young people across all roles to have a voice in our sport, and how it can have a positive outcome for young people.

Members will serve for an initial period of two years.

The Young People’s Forum will continue look at two key areas:

  • Retention of young people in athletics
  • Mental health in sport for young people

There will also be the opportunity for members to identify new areas of work that the Forum can explore.

We would love to hear from you if you are:

  • Living in Scotland and aged between 14-23 (inclusive)
  • Are a member and/or volunteer within a scottishathletics affiliated club
  • Have been a member and/or volunteer within a scottishathletics affiliated club within the last two years.
  • Passionate about athletics
  • Want to make a difference to young people in sport
