Wednesday 14th October 2026

Following the success of the two previous editions, scottishathletics are delighted to announce that the next ATS Young People’s Forum (YPF) Conference will take place on Saturday 13 March 2027 at the Glasgow International Arena.

The Conference will be free to attend and is aimed at young people aged 14-25, continuing the YPF’s commitment to creating opportunities that are led by young people, for young people. Club reps will also be invited to attend.

Since the Young People’s Forum was established in December 2021, members have been committed to giving young people a platform and voice in all aspects of the planning, development and delivery of athletics in Scotland.

The 2027 Conference will bring young people together to share ideas, learn from others, and explore the issues that matter to them and the future of the sport. The programme will include a range of interactive workshops, guest speakers and opportunities to learn more about key topics including athlete health, retaining young people in sport and creating a more inclusive athletics community.

Further details, including the full programme, guest speakers and booking information, will be announced in due course.

Be sure to save the date for this exciting opportunity to connect with the Young People’s Forum, learn more about the work they do and get involved in shaping the future of athletics in Scotland.
