scottishathletics are delighted to announce athletes selected for Scotland for the Armagh Road Races.

Eight athletes have been rewarded with vests for this international opportunity as outlined in our Road Running and Cross Country handbook.

The event takes place in Armagh on Thursday 9 February and is happening for the first time in three years because of Covid cancellations.

Men will run over 5k with the Women over 3k.

Here are the Scotland selections for the 2023 Armagh Road Races . . .

Women:

Megan Davies (Sale Harriers); Sarah Tait (Lasswade AC); Meredith Reid (Inverclyde AC); Mhairi Maclennan (Inverness Harriers)

Men:

Adam Craig (Inverclyde AC); Ben MacMillan (Central AC); Jack Patton (Kilbarchan AAC); Scott Stirling (Falkirk Victoria Harriers)

Many congratulations to all the athletes selected and to their families, coaches and clubs.

It’s always a fast course with high quality fields and represents a good opportunity for Scots, with a number of clubs and individuals in the habit of racing.

With thanks to Mark Nixon
