#4Jathletics: Emirates stage for 4J Age Group Champs

The 4J Indoor Season concludes this weekend with the 4J Age Group Champs over Saturday and Sunday.

It’s been hectic, exciting and fulfilling at the Emirates Arena over the past few weeks and now it is the turn of our U20/U15/U13 athletes.

Hundreds of names are on the start-lists and all the key information is available via the Event Section pages for each day.

We are looking forward to seeing young athletes compete for PB performances, places in finals and Scottish Championship medals.

‘We appreciate the challenges that a busy calendar across January and February brings for athletes, parents, clubs, coaches and Officials,’ said chief executive Colin Hutchison.

‘That can impact on entries in some events and age groups, but we would like to thank everyone who has competed across the indoor and XC seasons over the past few weeks.

‘There’s been a brilliant atmosphere inside the Emirates Arena at our 4J Indoor Season events and I am sure that will be repeated this weekend.’

Saturday info (U15 and U20)

*NOTE: Celtic have home match (3pm kick-off) on Saturday and there will be car parking restrictions at the Emirates and the surrounding streets. These restrictions are in place ALL DAY.

Please leave additional time for your journey to take in parking issues – this is particularly important if you travelling with a young athlete who has to declare for their event.

It’s been a truly hectic spell for our Officials.

As well as our own busy 4J Indoor Season with the National Open and championship events, they have also been helping out with Indoor League meetings, the Scottish Schools and the Scottish Student Champs.

Ahead of the 4J Age Groups this weekend, we say a big thank you in advance to all those in purple, red and black who make such a commitment to our sport and ensure events happen.
