Zoey Clark crosses the line to break her own Scottish Indoor Record for 200m at the Emirates Arena in January
Records lists on the scotstats.net website
Anyone harbouring the feeling that Scottish athletes (and their coaches) have been ‘smashing it’ over the past few months – despite Covid-19 issues – can now rest easy.
The results are in and the proof is conclusive: as no fewer than 33 new Scottish Records prove emphatically.
Our Records Committee sits as an important sub-group of the Track and Field Commission and those volunteers, led by scottishathletics Historian Arnold Black, spend a lot of time dealing with the required paperwork to validate records.
Recommendations from the Records Committee laid out all the details around those 33 new marks – with the vast majority from the 2022 Indoor Season – and we are delighted to confirm these were then rubberstamped by our latest Board meeting.
The list below covers a wide range of disciplines, age groups and includes relays Records as well as individual.
In terms of Senior National Records, well done to Zoey Clark, Josh Kerr, Andy Butchart, Adam Thomas and Alisha Rees on setting new marks on the track. Heather Paton equalled her own sprint hurdles record.
