British Athletics World Indoor team update
Live Results and Timetable (Belgrade time one hour ahead of us)
The second largest cohort of Scots on a GB team for the World Indoors is headed for Belgrade this week for global action.
Five athletes were picked as part of a British selection for Serbia which has had others added since the initial announcement.
It’s a special moment for Adam Thomas and Jenny Selman as they represent GB and NI for the first time at Senior level; Erin Wallace steps up after competing at a European Team Champs and Euro U23 medallist last summer; while Guy Learmonth and Neil Gourley have significant experience.
Everyone at scottishathletics and in the wider community of athletics in Scotland wish these five athletes and their families, coaches and support teams all the very best for Belgrade. We also commend the clubs involved in their development over the years.
There is coverage across the BBC Sport platforms with mainstream TV coverage planned all three days.
And, at the foot of this story, we have outlined the projected event schedule for the five Scots involved.
My pleasure! Thanks for letting me share the track. I’m joining in the cat and mouse relays next time https://t.co/LiW4yMLGmo

Bracknell AC sprinter Adam broke the Scottish 60m Record with a 6.56 run to win the British Indoor gold and, at 26, his call-up is reward for many years of hard work.
That’s a similar story to Fife AC’s Selman, who has made big improvements over the past year or two, culminating in a first British title at Birmingham when she took 800m gold.
Jenny was selected for the European Juniors back in 2009 but has bridged that long gap now in spectacular fashion – and celebrated her 31st birthday last week.
Guy is picked once again after a silver medal in the trials which took his British Indoor tally over the years to a remarkable 10 medals.
Neil features in the 1500m after also taking silver in Birmingham. Neil completed his preparations in Glasgow on Tuesday evening under admiring views from youngsters at Shettleston Harriers.
