As Covid restrictions begin to ease and our clubs gradually return to group training, we’re delighted to be able to relaunch our Keep on Running campaign.
With so many people taking up, or returning to, running during lockdown, we’re keen for them to find their local athletics club or jogscotland group, and enjoy the benefits of training in a group.
However, we also know that some clubs and groups are initially concentrating on sessions for existing members.
The Keep on Running campaign page linked above lists clubs and groups that are currently able to welcome new members, to either in-person, or virtual sessions.
This makes it easier for potential new members to find their running home in these early stages of the emergence from lockdown, and gives clubs and groups on the page the benefit of a little extra publicity from our campaign posts.
Clubs and groups taking part can use our Keep on Running resources to promote their club, including social media graphics, promotional posts, template press releases, and more.
The initial phase of the campaign ran as we emerged from lockdown last year, attracting support all the way from the 70 grassroots clubs and groups, which opened the doors to new members, to stars like Laura Muir, who gave Keep on Running her backing:
‘Physical, mental and social benefits of sport are so important,’ – Laura Muir
With groups and clubs now returning to group activity once again, we’re delighted to relaunch the Keep on Running campaign, to keep the momentum going and support all those on the ground working hard to ensure a vibrant return for our sport.
Woooohooo! Our all abilities road running group will return next week! We’ll be kicking things off on Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm. We can’t wait to see you all again! 🙌🏻 🔵⚪️🟢 #vproadrunners #jogscotland #glasgow #keeponrunning pic.twitter.com/lgKoN9P4j0
