There were strong performances by Scottish athletes across a range of venues and disciplines over another very busy weekend in track and field.
Scots winning medals in British Championships events always catch our attention and delighted to report another here.
Max Milarvie took Men’s 10,000m bronze on Sunday evening at Loughborough with a PB run of 29:13. The London-based VP-Glasgow athlete is a Scotland international on the roads and has a fine marathon PB.
Over in Germany, there was a strong Scottish presence at a throws meet in Halle.
Amy Kennedy represented GB and NI for the first time. Amy threw 14.73m to finish in the top eight in the overall comp.

Amy’s Cumbernauld AAC team-mate Sophie Robertson, competing via support from scottishathletics, was in the U18 Women’s hammer. Sophie threw a PB of 63.07 to finish second in her comp and post a European U18 qualifying standard.
Kilmarnock Harriers athlete Rhian Mitchell finished eighth in the U18 shot with 16.87m. Like Sophie and Rhian, Andrew Peck was also supported by us to compete in Halle.
Over in America, there was another fine performance and Ivy League title for Angela McAuslan-Kelly.
Angela threw to 63.86m in the hammer (again over the Glasgow 2026 standard). The only thrower to clear over 57m, the Princeton Uni athlete took the Ivy League champion title uncontested.
