The 4J Indoor Season is just around the corner and we’re grateful for superb support already in terms of entries.
Endurance athletes kick things off with the 3000m Scottish Champs part of a Glasgow Athletics Association Miler Meet at the Emirates Arena on Saturday 3 January.
Then, the following weekend, the venue will be packed with competing athletes at the National Open.
Entries are all but full now for that event on Sunday 11 January (waiting lists will be worked through).
But there are other opportunities across various age categories . . .
Saturday 24 January
4J Senior and U18 Champs
SM 400m and U18W 200m both sold out with waiting lists in operation. Few places remaining in most sprint events and long jump. Almost 400 athletes on the entry list so far.

EAP Pre-Meet
Club athletes of all abilities are being offered a rare chance to compete on the same stage as international stars at this year’s EAP Glasgow pre-meet.
Open to competitors aged U16 and above, the event features 60m, 800m and triple jump, with every entry including a ticket to the evening’s international match.
Participants will get a true taste of elite athletics, passing through the same Call Room that will be used by world-class competitors before competing themselves.
After their event, athletes can stay on to watch top international performers in action, making the pre-meet a unique opportunity to experience the atmosphere, excitement and inspiration of high-level sport from the inside.
Any athletes aged under 18 need to tell us on their entry which seating block their family/friends are in so we can ensure they are seated together. A number of entries so far have not done this, but it important to ensure they can be seated together. Anyone 18+ will be allocated the athlete seating block.

Sunday 1 February
U12s Indoor SUPERteams
We have been pleased to receive entries so far from Ayrshire to the Lothians to Fife and the west of Scotland.
There is a change to the format this year: athletes will compete individually and contribute towards an overall club score so no need for teams of four any more.
We are looking for entries from last year’s winners Inverness Harriers, Giffnock North, Gala Harriers, Kilbarchan and Banchory Stonehaven, as well as any clubs who wants to challenge this year.
