Sad news as our Officials community mourns Tom and Neil McMenemy

We are sending our thoughts and sympathy this week after sad news in our community of Officials after the passing of Tom McMenemy.

Tom had been a Grade 1 Timekeeper since the 1980s and officiated at most Scottish Championships, club events, leagues and UK competitions for many years.

Over the past decade or so he was helping at club competitions until last year when he retired.

Very sadly, Tom’s son Neil passed away a couple of days later. Neil was a member of Central AC for many years and was a well-known competitor and Scotland international in the Triple Jump.
