Scotland head for the Loughborough International this weekend with athletes thrilled to be wearing the Joma competition kit.

We held a kit collection gathering at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow on Wednesday evening with a strong turnout of those set to compete at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium in Loughborough.

Our photographer Bobby Gavin – who will be on duty at the Loughborough International – was on hand to capture moments as athletics modelled the Joma kit.

Erin Campbell is among our senior Scotland debutants in the sprint hurdles and joined other athletes at the photo shoot.

‘It’s my first selection so delighted to receive and wear the Scotland kit,’ said the Giffnock North AC athlete.

‘I’ve training partners who have worn Joma a number of times and I’ve noticed it change – and this current version looks nice. I like what they have done with it.’

scottishathletics chief executive Colin Hutchison and Joma’s Sam Alsop joined us for the shoot.

‘We’ve a great relationship with the team at Joma and we believe it is a really strong partnership for our sport,’ said Colin.

When we pick teams to represent Scotland across all the disciplines, the first thing you are looking for is for the athletes to feel comfortable in the kit and enjoy wearing the kit.

‘I think over the last few years that’s exactly what has happened with Joma working alongside scottishathletics. We talk about ‘wearing it with pride’ and ‘representing Scotland’ and we have had really positive feedback from the athletes.

‘Of course, our partnership with Joma is not just about competition kit. It reaches into staff, Officials, Academy, Young People’s Forum, and coaching tutors and then there is a whole range of clubs across our community who are wearing Joma kit specific to their club and their club colours. The brand is prominent through the sport in Scotland.

‘Big thank you to Joma for their support over the years and looking ahead to the future.’
