Scotland to head to Loughborough International – plus two pathway events

Loughborough International 2025
Scotland will once again compete in track & field at the Loughborough International next month.
Loughborough University are our hosts for the LIA event, which will take place on Sunday 18 May.
Scotland will compete against teams representing England, Wales, GB and NI U20s, Loughborough University and the National Athletics League.
LIA is widely recognised as the curtain-raiser to the outdoor season in Britain with an action-packed day of first-class athletics hosted at the Paula Radcliffe Stadium. There should be guest place opportunities, too.
Scotland selections will be based primarily on performances from the 2024 Season and 2025 Indoor Season. Consideration will also be given to early 2025 Outdoor Season form.
Details on the events offered (max one per event) are within the International Handbook for Track and Field. There are Para events included in the programme.
The selection date is May 5 with the team to be announced a few days thereafter ahead of the event in Loughborough on Sunday 18 May.
Athletes will be asked to organise their own travel and a contribution will be made from scottishathletics. Accommodation will be provided.

Please note we are also making plans to send Scottish Pathway teams to competitions for the Jumps and Throws Event Groups in the early part of the summer season.
These are developmental events with athletes to be picked from across the U18, U20 and U23 age groups based on the information contained within the Track and Field handbook for 2025.

* Pickering Memorial Throws International (Throws Pathway International) at Loughborough on 1 June
Selection date: 19 May
