Officially brilliant (again): Thank You to our purple and red volunteer army

scottishathletics are hugely grateful to our volunteer workforce – including our qualified Officials.

And we never weary of saying ‘Thank You’ to those who help ensure our events continue to happen week in, week out each and every year.

Recent months have seen a busy cross country season and the 4J Indoor Season back at the Emirates Arena after an interrupted format for indoor events 12 months earlier.

We are delighted with how those events unfolded and we could not have done it without our Officials.

Here’s a message from our Competitions Teams . . .

‘Thank You for volunteering at this winter’s scottishathletics National and District Championships.

‘From cross country to indoor track and field, road running to relays, it’s been a very busy season!

‘Thank you for your hard work in helping us to stage so many events over the past few months. It has been fantastic to see over 200 Officials and volunteers supporting championships over the past few months.

‘Whether this was your first season volunteering, or just the latest of many, these competitions would not have taken place without you!

‘Looking ahead, the summer season is already underway with club open gradeds and the first league competitions of 2025 taking place in March and early April. If you have not yet competed your availability for the summer season but plan to help at some events, please do let us know.

‘We hope you have enjoyed the competitions over the winter and that we will see many of you again over the next few months.’
