PBs (and bell ringing) in the sunshine at our Spring Throws Meet
On a sunny Saturday in Glasgow, the 2025 season launched for Scotland’s long throwers!
With almost 90 competitors (126 event entries) and a total of 52 PB throws, athletes were in fine form at our Spring Throws Meet at Crownpoint.
Notable bests come from Central AC’s Adam Donnachie adding 56cms with his throw of 22.95 and Johann Gillon (Law and District) throwing 45.90m in the Hammer adding 61cm to her previous best of 45.29.
It was also great to see a whole host of debutant athletes across the throws, with representation from clubs nationwide. Of particular note it was brilliant to see contingent from Perth Strathtay Harriers with some enthusiastic bell ringing!
