Neil picked for World Indoors as Nick heads for Cyprus

Neil Gourley has been selected to represent GB and NI at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, China (21-23 March).
Originally scheduled for the 2020 edition of these championships but postponed due to the Covid pandemic, this is the second major championship taking place this month, following the European Indoor Championships last weekend where GB and NI came away with seven medals.
This time, a team of 13 British athletes will head to China with Neil to race in the Men’s 1500m. The Giffnock North AC athlete finished fourth in the European Indoors final last Friday night.
Congratulations to Neil, his family, coach and all at Giffnock North AC on another significant international selection with GB and NI.

Eight athletes will represent the GB and NI team at the European Throwing Cup in Cyprus (15-16 March).
And Scottish Olympian Nick Percy is named for the Men’s discus.
