Seven athletes have landed shares in our Road Race Grand Prix after the most recent race.
The Scottish 10-Mile Champs were staged at Strathclyde Park in the Tom Scott Road Races on March 31.
And fine performances at the top end of the race saw athletes land shares as well as Scottish Championship medals.
There were four A standards in the Men’s race and a B standard.
Lewis Hannigan (Kilbarchan AAC) at 49:07; Sean Chalmers (Aberdeen AAC) 49:18; Ryan Thomson (Cambuslang Harriers) 49:35) and John Bell (Inverclyde AAC) 49:46 all landed A shares.
Dermot Cummins (Corstorphine AAC) added a B share to the Masters M40 gold with his 50:53 run.
The top two athletes in the Women’s race both landed A shares – Annabel Simpson (University of West of Scotland/Fife AC) at 54:35 and Ginie Barrand (Metro Aberdeen) 55:49.
Well done to all these athletes and their families, coaches and clubs on hitting the standards set in the Road Race GP.
The next race in the series is the Scottish Marathon Champs at the London Marathon.
