Nick in Portugal; Young Scots lands CE medals in Sheffield

Nick Percy was in action in Portugal over the weekend for GB and NI at the European Throwing Cup.

Nick was the British selection in the Men’s discus and threw 59.60m for eighth in Pool A in the competition in Lieiria.

Young Scottish athletes were in action at the England Athletics Combined Events champs in Sheffield over the weekend.

There was a fine silver medal in the U17 Pentathlon for Shannon Brown of North Ayrshire AC. Shannon’s point tally of 3507 took her to fifth on the U17 all-time list.

Inverness Harriers athlete Murray Taylor won gold in the U15 Boys Pentathlon. Murray’s points tally of 2847 takes him to fourth on the U15 all-time list.

Well done to all the young Scots who travelled to Sheffield for deeper competition and to their families, clubs and coaches.
