The Cross Country Team Challenge for autumn 2023 is up and running.
Clubs compete for points via the performances of their Senior teams in three events – starting with last weekend’s Lindsays District XC Relays.
Double points are on offer for the next event when we head to Cumbernauld on Saturday 21 October for the Lindsays National XC Relays.
The top three in the Men’s division for now are the three winners from Glasgow, Livingston and Nairn – Kilbarchan AAC, Stirling Uni and East Sutherland AC.
For both East Sutherland at the North and Stirling Uni at the East, these were first-ever victories in the Senior Men’s races in these District XC Relays.
The top three in the Women’s division for the moment are the gold medallist from West, East and North – Shettleston Harriers, Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds and Moray Road Runners.
Entry is automatic for clubs participating and the two remaining events are as follows:
National XC Relays – 21 Oct (Cumbernauld)
National 4k Champs – 4 Nov – (Lanark)
The scoring system is as follows:
District CC Relays – 1st (10 points) reducing by 1 to 10th (1 point)
National CC Relays – 1st (20 points) reducing by 1 to 20th (1 point)
National 4K Champs – 1st (20 points) reducing by 1 to 20th (1 point)
A well deserved highlight for ESAC head coach and Bath Rugby Club record holder John Davies. It goes without saying that we wouldn't be where we are today in terms of a competitive senior men's team if it weren't for John's passion and dedication to the club! https://t.co/Xpa8QfszID
