An opportunity has arisen to work with Edinburgh-based club, Harmeny AC, as their new Community and Club Athletics Coach.

The part-time role is part of the scottishathletics Club Together programme, funded through a partnership between Harmeny Athletic Club, scottishathletics and sportscotland, with the ongoing support of City of Edinburgh Council, including the Active Schools Team and the South West Edinburgh Community Sports Hub.

It will demand a 4 to 8 hour/week commitment, including coaching at up to five weekly junior athletics sessions, delivering a structured holiday programme during Easter and summer, among other responsibilties.

Harmeny is a well-established club based in the South West of Edinburgh, which won the scottishathletics Impact Club of the Year Award in both 2019 & 2021.

The club now boasts a membership of over 500 members, spanning both adults and juniors.

Work with us as a Coach Developer

We are looking to recruit coach developers, responsible for the delivery of Continual Professional Development (CPD) workshops for teachers and leaders.

Applications close at 9am on Friday 1 September, with interviews taking place w/c 4 September.

This role involves the delivery of practical, engaging, athletics development workshops for teachers and leaders. Employment will be on a casual basis at various locations across the country, based on course requests.

Applicants should be UKA licensed to the level of Athletics Coach, Coaching in Running Fitness or equivalent. You will have a strong understanding of athletics, and have evidence of developing and sustaining positive relationships with internal teams and external partners, through strong communication and engagement.
