The 2023 track and field season has opened up and the action steps up further this weekend.
It’s time for our first scottishathletics championship events of the season with the District Champs taking place at three venues – for the U17, U15 and U13 age groups.
And for Senior and U20 athletes, we have a programme of National Open Events also taking place from Friday evening through to Sunday
The three venues are Inverness for the North, with events on Friday and Saturday; and Grangemouth (East) and Kilmarnock (West) on the Saturday and Sunday.
In the National Open Events, the Sprints and Jumps will be at Kilmarnock this year and the Endurance and Throws at Grangemouth.
*East, West and North U17 Steeplechase are combined in Grangemouth.
*U15/U17 East, West and North Pole Vault are combined in Kilmarnock.
*There will still be medals for each District in these events, but will run as one competition.
*Coach/spectator entry can be bought in advance online – just visit our Fixture Calendar and enter ‘spectators’ in the search bar, and click through to the relevant event.
