Young hill runners picked to race in France
There were strong performances by Scottish athletes in England over the weekend at the Inter-Counties and World Mountain Running trials.
Working on the details we have: Andy Douglas took the win on Sunday in the up and down trial race at Sedbergh, with Jacob Adkin in fourth place. Ross Gollan was sixth and Jamie Crowe was seventh.
Alice Goodall of Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds was second in the Women’s up and down trial race, placing as first U23 athlete.

On Friday at the uphill only trial races we are seeing:
Women’s race – fifth Kirsty Dickson, sixth Holly Page
Men’s race – third Jacob Adkin, fourth Andy Douglas
Well done to all the Scots who headed south over the weekend and to their coaches and clubs. We are expecting GB and NI selection to be announced later in the week – keep an eye on our social channels.
