All roads lead back to Falkirk next month – and we are urging clubs to gather names now for the Lindsays National XC.

The big event is coming to Callendar Park on Saturday 25 February but the key date now is Thursday 9 February.

That’s our deadline for entries and we really want to see as many clubs represented and athletes on the start-line on the day,.

Coveted National XC titles and medals are up for grabs for individuals and for clubs across 10 races over the various age groups.

Entries are made online by clubs through their portal or by individuals.

The Lindsays National XC also marks the conclusion of our Scottish Cross Country Grand Prix, with £4000 of prize-money to be shared by Senior athletes (men and women).

This year’s GP is across four events all taking place in Scotland and the British Cross Challenge and Scottish Inter-District XC at Scone Palace marked the third fixture.

We have now allocated the points and there are new leaders with only Falkirk remaining.

Megan Keith leads the Women’s division after amassing 100 points from wins at Kirkcaldy and Perth. Fellow Edinburgh Uni Hare and Hounds athlete, Constance Nankivell, is now second on 79 points with Carnethy’s Holly Page only two points behind in third.

Completing the top five are Alice Goodall of Edinburgh AC in fourth (66 points) and Sarah Tait of Lasswade AC/Stirling Uni (63 points).

Central AC athlete Hamish Hickey now leads the Men’s table with 95 points. It’s tight at the top, though, with Kristian Jones of Dundee Hawkhill Harriers only two points adrift and third-placed Callum Tharme of Strathclyde Uni on 88 points.

Completing the top five are Ben MacMillan of Central AC in fourth (84 points) and Lachlan Oates of Shettleston Harriers (79 points).
