The Lindsays Cross Country Season is up and running once again with the East District XC Relays having taken place last weekend at Gala.
Now it is the turn of athletes in the West and North with their events happening in Glasgow and Nairn on Saturday.
The West event is being hosted by Giffnock North AC with the venue being Kings Park, Carmunnock Road, on the south side of Glasgow.
Big entry fields are listed on our Event section page as well as key information for all those planning to race and/or attend.
Here’s the schedule for the West Relays:
Young Females: Race starts 11am 3×2.5k
Young Males: Race starts 11.45am 3×2.5k

North athletes gather at Nairn on Saturday with a much bigger entry than last year.
There are 66 teams listed with 258 athletes and that tally is around 100 up on the 2021 figure – a great response.
Thanks in advance to the North District Road Running and Cross Country Commission for all their preparations and organisation and to the volunteers who will help out on the day.
Here’s the race schedule in the North Relays:
Young Females: Race starts 11.30am 3×2.5k
Young Males: Race starts 12.05pm 3×2.5k
Junior/Senior/Masters Women 12.40pm 3x4k
Junior/Senior/Masters Men 12.40pm 3x4k
Points to note:
*Car parking is available at Nairn Links and Nairn Town Centre but spaces are limited so please car-share is possible. Thanks.
*The venue is a lapped course so organisers are keen for athletes to be considerate in terms of warming up if races are going on.
There are good warm-up paths on the link front from the golf club to the harbour and there will be a grass area marked off for final drills.
