Tru Wealth National Road Relays all set to return after three years

National 4 and 6 Stage Provisional Results

The Tru Wealth National Road Relays return to the calendar this weekend after a three-year absence.

Livingston was a popular venue for this event for many years prior to Covid-19 cancellations in first 2020 and again last year.

So it is great to be headed back to familiar ground for the course around St Margaret’s Academy with superb support from our host club, Lothian RC.

There are over 900 names on the start-lists for an event that features athletes in the U20/Seniors/Masters age groups with separate medals for Masters and for V50 teams as well as the main races.

We are delighted with that response for a ‘comeback’ and there are 87 male teams entered and 46 female teams to reach 133 from 35 different clubs.

Senior Men 6 Stage: declarations close 11am; Race starts 11.30am

M40 6 Stage: declarations close 11am; Race starts 11.30am

M50 4 Stage: declarations close 11am; Race starts 11.30am

Senior Women 4 Stage: declarations close 11am; Race starts 11.40am

W40 4 Stage: declarations close 11am; Race starts 11.40am

W50 3 Stage: declarations close 11am; Race starts 11.40am

*After our appeals for offers of help, we do now have marshal support for out on the course on Saturday – with a big thank you to Lothian RC for supplying extra volunteers.

We have also had help from the following clubs:

Aberdeen AAC, Cambuslang Harriers, Corstorphine AAC, Ferranti AAC, Giffnock North AC, Hunters Bog Totters, Livingston AC and Motherwell AC.

The National Road Relays this year benefit from sponsorship support from Tru Wealth.

Tru Wealth have been involved in supporting athletics in Scotland in recent years in various ways and are now our partners for the Tru Wealth Scottish Road Race Champs series.

This features five races in addition to their support for the Young Athletes Road Races and the National Road Relays.
