Young athletes prepare for Tru Wealth Road Races

The Tru Wealth Young Athletes Road Races will be held in Greenock on Sunday (20 March).

It’s the first time since March 2020 that this event has been held with Covid restrictions on club activity this time last year leading to a cancellation.

Now we are ready to return to Greenock and are pleased to have almost 450 names on the start-lists for six races at Battery Park.

Individual and team medals are on offer at U17, U15 and U13 level in an event now backed by our road race sponsors, Tru Wealth.

Race programme for Sunday 20 March . . .

U13 Girls: Declarations close 11.00am; Race 11.30am; 3k

U13 Boys: Declarations close 11.15am; Race 11.45am; 3k

U15 Girls: Declarations close 11.30am; Race 12.00pm; 4k

U15 Boys: Declarations close 12.05pm; Race 12.25pm; 4k

U17 Women: Declarations close 12.20pm; Race 12.50pm; 5k

U17 Men: Declarations close 12.45pm; Race 1.15pm; 5k

*Please note the YARR this weekend are no longer ‘trial races’ for the London Mini Marathon, with that event now moved to the autumn.

We will clarify in due course selection process for Scotland teams at London Mini Marathon with details on age groups etc.
